The first thing you need to do to introduce sanity into the drug problem is to eliminate the 'drug schedule' for arbitrarily assigning the level of criminality to a particular drug, and that all the schedule appears to do. The congress and state law makers have to deal directly with the drug problem and not just assign the problem to the Executive branch. Each drug needs to be investigated and the criminality that would be associated with the drug due to its addictive or harmful affects needs to be individually assessed. The 'drug schedule' is the easy way out of dealing with the drug problem, and in fact it partially manufactures the drug problem.

Obama won in states that have "working-class whites" until it came to PA, Indiana, KY. I believe that the problem in these states is a racism that is just under the surface and not spoken of. On the network news on the day of the PA primary, they had small excerpts of interveiws with voters; one man said this very thing. I have not heard any "talking head" mention this as a factor.
