The importance of the Midterm elections is WAY beyond the difference between a Jim Webb and a George Allen or even a Bob Casey and a Rick Santorum 


Electing, or not electing these individuals makes relatively little difference to their states.  But the difference is HUGE to the country.  The REAL issue this November 7 is whether The United States continues under what amounts to One Party Rule.  That means no checks and balances as the Constitution calls for and virtually no oversight or brakes on George Bush, Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Condoleeza Rice, John Bolton, Karl Rove and the rest of this Administration.
