Your fear of Steve Schmidt
is just like Dick Cheney's 1% Rule. According to Cheney, if there was even a 1-in-a-hundred chance that something COULD be true (like Saddam Hussein's WMD), it is true enough to act on.
Steve Schmidt is overrated and he has weak candidates to work with and the economy is tanking. I'd say the likelihood of John McCain winning fair and square are one in a hundred. The Republican machine that knows how to suppress votes and tamper with electronic voting makes it much more likely that McCain has a snowball's chance. I'd like to say that this thing is in the bag for Obama, but it is just not done.
Yeah, maybe they can pull the dirtiest dirty trick of all time, but I seriously doubt the Republicans can prevail.
