There may not be a VP announcement by Obama today but there is still A LOT of news-- in the campaigns, in Pakistan and in music.  Yes, I said music. 

On today's show Rachel will be talking to New York Times reporter Eric Lichtblau about the fun new ways the FBI is spying on us.  And we will be reporting on the terrible attack by the Taliban in Pakistan.  More than 60 dead at a munitions factory after a twin suicide bombing there earlier today.  And then finally Rachel welcomes musician Rodney Crowell who will perform a song off his latest album.
