This week we'll be talking about John Edwards and him finally admitting to having an affair, and we'd love to hear what you have to say about this, 866-303-2270. Then in the third hour, Farron Cousins; Huffington Post blogger, Marty Kaplan; and Air America's own, Lionel on his new book, "Everyone's Crazy Except You and Me . . . And I'm Not So Sure About You"

Edwards-The Reason WE Voted for Obama

First, I would NEVER HAVE VOTED FOR EDWARDS, HE STABBED US IN THE BACK WITH KERRY IN 04, so YES, HIS PRESIDENTIAL OPTIONS ARE COMPLETELY OVER.

Second, he stabbed everyone in the Democratic Party in the back by starting his campaign knowing he was hiding something.

Third, OK, we get it, he hid it to protect his children and thought if it came out, the fact that he lied about sex is such an old issue, it wouldn't matter.

What matters is the LIE!!!
The lying-- business as usual for DC politicians.
This is PRECISELY WHY WE VOTED FOR OBAMA.

We can use the Edwards thing to remind Americans why we voted for Obama.
We can use Edwards to remind America that JOHN MCCAIN lied about his affair with Cindy for years before he dumped his first wife for the rich girlfriend.
Does marrying her make it ok? I think not, especially since there are words on tape calling her a *itch, suggesting she enter a topless contest (obviously reminding us she is rich enough to buy good breasts, because at her age, what would they look like if they were natural? He is so completely insenstive on every issue).

We can use the Edwards thing to remind America why we need DC change.
Edwards was on TV saying things haven't changed.
Maybe for him, since he is obviously a seasoned liar, I mean politician.

For us, we Democrats (ex Democrat, Democrat at heart for me now, having left the party because of the refusal by the Democratic leadership to honor our constitution and demand impeachment, they have refused to demand impeachment for political reasons), his attitude is business as usual.

Edwards capacity to get elected is completely over. He can still be a valuable asset to promote the very important issues he carelessly threatened with his pointless and meaningless rhetoric (warts n'all, yeah, liar). His years of good work will not be discarded, his capacity to hold any elected office? Hopefully over.

This is an indication of exactly how the Democrats are attempting to calculate how much of the law and personal ethics they can ignore and still get elected.

I think he and Elizabeth lied to protect their children.
They knew they were not going to be nominated by the time the story really came out.
They denied it to protect their children.
Real Family Values, DC family values.
Lie until you get caught and then lie more and then admit it and say business as usual.
DC Values.
America needs change on both sides of the aisle.

TALK ABOUT "BUSINESS AS USUAL".

The DNC has been complicit with Pelosi's use of the constitution as a political tool, instead of a foundation for following our laws.
They have done everything they could to not talk about ignoring impeachment.
The DNC wants the White House so badly they are refusing to start impeachment hearings since winning in 2006.
Are any of them surprised Edwards, who was complicit with the lies of the Kerry campaign lied to us even before the start of this process?
Who are they kidding?

Obama can use this as an prime example of the kind of thorough change we need!!!

Obama can use this as a reason to remind America of all the lies McCain has been telling us.

John Edwards, what were you thinking?
Do I feel betrayed by you?
I feel betrayed by the entire Democratic Leadership...which is why I am now officially registered as "non affiliated".
Both apples (major parties) are too rotten to pick.

I will vote for Obama, and not feel too betrayed when he flip flops as soon as he gets in.

We are abundantly aware of who makes policy in this country and who gets the benefits of the laws and who can must obey the laws and who can get away with anything they want!

Hint: It's not the general public.
In fact, if we cause too much problem nowadays, we are put on a "watch list".

When will we be required to start signing off with Sig Heil?
Obama, free us from these chains of "business as usual" (even today, I heard McCain say lobbying hasn't harmed our country!!! OMG, can he get any worse? Unequivocally, YES)

Edwards failed himself. The Democratic votes (I was one til after the primary), chose the right leader. Democracy does work. We need to use this to move the conversation about the facts about McCain, and even the DC failed leadership.

Americans are hungry to re-establish a country in which the laws are followed, one in which the constitution is honored, one in which our elected officials will do the difficult thing and protect us from the enemies from within (they are a plenty), one in which our media holds itself to a standard of objectivism without corporate interests.

When John Conyers held a meeting on the Bush Administration and Presidential Authority instead of impeachment hearings, why are we surprised to find outa presidential contender lied to the American people about sex? Who are we kidding?

Why do we always allow the Republicans to frame the conversation? We know why.
They run the show, and buy off the right Democrats, so that no matter what, our constitution is ignored and big business controls everything, including what we get to know about issues.

More humiliating to be an American as each day passes.
WE NEED OBAMA MORE THAN EVER NOW.
