Uh oh, all of a sudden, there is a white elephant in the room. Republicans are running to pile on Edwards and are desperately attempting to bridge and link Obama to Edwards. Unfortunately, Obama is still on his first wife. Unlike "McCain". Oops, did I go there? That dark and damp place where the media seems to NOT want to go?

This opens John McCain's rather "sordid" past to close inspection. Cheating on a wife who had been disfigured in a car accident (true, not a disease). The mistress was 24 and a multi millionaire. It's difficult to hold it against a man when the mistress is both "young" and "rich". It seems somehow less "dirty". The only minus is that they married only a month after the divorce from "Quasimodo" became final. I guess that makes everything OK and "moral" according to how Republicans see "morals".

The media seems to want to stay away from things that are both McCain and "sordid". That means they are staying away from all things "McCain". "Oh, we KNOW McCain, but we don't KNOW Obama", is the media mantra endlessly repeated. When you ask the average American what they know about McCain, they say, "He's a war hero." When asked why he's a hero, you are met with blank stares and shrugged shoulders.

Just to highlight the difference, I suspect every single voter in America knows Obama's middle name, his wife's name, his pastor's name, the name of the church he attended for twenty years and personal info about his family.

Most don't know McCain's middle name, his religious affiliation, that he owns 9 homes, that he blew up or crashed several planes, at one point was under investigation for the deaths of over 130 men. Certainly most voters don't know that he graduated 5th from the bottom out of 899 cadets out of the Navel Academy. Most don't even know Cindy McCain is his second wife, or that she is a drug addict who narrowly escaped prison by going to rich peoples free pass, "rehab".

If you compare Obama and McCain side by side, all of a sudden,. the question becomes, "Why is McCain the media darling"? Aren't the media also American citizens? Please give Obama and McCain equal airtime as well as equal scrutiny.
