Those stoopid Democrats! If they are not wusses, then they are cowards.
Okay, so Edwards strayed; sympathies to his wife and children in their private matter laid bare to the public.
General statistics document that more than one-half of all American men admit to outside entertainment. How many American men lie? How many brag?
Hypocritical Republicans and their up-tight Christian Conservatives want to make Edwards' brief affair a campaign issue. Well, then, Edwards and the Democrats need to declare: 'Bring 'em on!'.
Let Edwards and the Democrats present their challenges:
- #1) McCain played around on his first wife while he was an active-duty Naval Officer. He entered into a marriage licence with wife #2 while still married to wife #1.
- #2) Republican Party favourite Newt Gingrich lost count how many times he has been cheating on one wife while married to another. Recall he delivered a divorce petition to wife #1 on her death-bed.
- #3) Republican Party god, Reagan, whose entire career was that of a playboy - bed-hopping the casting couch from one chicky starlette to his next - carousing on one wife while dating his mistress.
If Nancy hadn't nailed Ronnie's male member to the floor, no telling how many more times he would have been playing his field.
- #4) Senator Craig, everybody's friendly 'I am not gay' airport toilet mystery seat man tapping his happy feet confessed to his crimes in open court, then denied the entire event occurred when the press released his behaviour. He refuses to resign his office. There is no public out-cry against Craig.
- #5) Senator Vitter has his own troubles - indictments because of his fondness for prostitution. His Republican cohorts cheer him on for more.
- #6) Republicans spent years pinching their Capitol pages - especially their boy pages. Neither their electorate nor the law put an end to their petting in the playground.
- #7) Rumours abound that Bush-the-son himself has been straying with Condi. Let's press him under oath for something since he refuses to confess to his war crimes under oath without Cheney at his side.
Let's take a poll - under oath - under penalty for perjury: How many current members of the House of Representatives and Senate can clearly admit they never - ever - participated in any non-marital sexual activty? Let's begin the count with the Republicans since they are the ones calling the kettle black.
'Character and candor matter'?
Go ahead, throw your first stones, Bushies. Nope, bullies have no real ones.
Hypocrites
