Have you noticed that gas prices are pretty high? You have? Oh. Well have you also noticed that the media stories about this seem to explain the record high prices as “supply and demand”? Well is that the real story? Howell Raines says it’s not so simple. He’ll explain how the big oil PR machine shapes our understanding of gas prices. You won’t be cheered up by this, but you will have a little more fodder when you debate your friends on drilling in ANWR.
If you even glance at the cable news stations you know that Barack Obama is touring
The best news from abroad is that Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri Al Malaki pretty much endorsed Barack Obama’s withdrawal plan.
We’ll also talk about a few legal topics in the news ranging from the start of detainee
hearings and “jury” selection to how to blog
without being sued for libel. Oh,
and some activists in
And so much more ….

autism
This attitude is not unusual. Here in St. Louis, there is one school required to educate autistic children. It is a public school, the only public school in the city that currently passes the state testing requirements. The racial makeup is 90% Black. The administration and the teachers are almose entirely black - except for the teacher for the Autistic children (who is also Jewish).
Well, the administrator of the school and the program director in charge of the autistic children program (not the teacher) thinks this is a white conspiracy against black kids and that there is no such thing as autism. They also pray everyday in this school and are totally against any religion except Baptist/Born again. They believe religion is the answer for their educational problems and believe its the only reason they are passing the state requirements. On and on it goes. I think they are virtually the same as someone who would sacrifice a chicken at midnight and think this is the reason they have the results they have. It's totally outrageous!!
