I saw Russ Feingold (my first choice for President)
talk to Rachel Maddow on MSNBC about Obama's vote on FISA. He seemed to intimate that President Obama would fix FISA so this current disaster will only affect the next <200 days. If Russ says so, I am happy.
Suppose Obama dug his heels in and got the Democrats to block the FISA bill. What if we had another terrorist attack between now and November and the Bush Admin. said that their hands were tied because of the FISA bill failure. How would that throw the election? Does anyone believe that the Bushies are above either causing or letting another terrorist attack happen for political gain?
Obama's vote, though disappointing, represented the less bad option.
