Any time anyone makes noises about wanting to change it, the profit-mongers at Big Pharma scream "socialized medicine" and start talking about "lines like the DMV" and otherwise trying to get everyone to be scared of universal health care.

It's going to take a strong Congress and a strong President, working together, to ramrod universal health care into existence in the United States. Don't expect that combination any time soon, though. Too many Congresscritters are in the pockets of Big Pharma.
