TODAY'S SHOW: TUESDAY, MAY 13TH, 2008
Today is the West Virginia primary, a contest that Hillary Clinton is expected to win by huge margins. But does it matter? David Bender, the master of electoral politics, will be taking your calls. (866) 303-2270

What REALLY matters? MS-01's Travis Childers!!
The WV primary is meaningless drivel, and so is all the commentary on it.
Until President Obama starts marshalling progressives in Congress next year to start fixing the impoverishment (both economic impoverishment and educational impoverishment) of the people of Appalachia -- people who have been largely ignored by Democratic and Republican presidents since the death of Bobby Kennedy -- we are all wasting our time talking about West Virginia.
The most important election of the day is the special election in Mississippi's first district, where Travis Childers is about to win! He'll be the first Democrat to take that seat in decades, and I didn't hear one person on Air America talking about this today!!
What a waste of air time.
