Orrin Hatch Apologizes. Kind Of.
Apparently this open letter thing works!
Senator Hatch has now issued a letter climbing down from the pile of lies he told about Carol Lam on Meet the Press this weekend.
He now says thought he was talking about a person named "Alan Bersin" when the name "Carol Lam" accidentally escaped his lips instead.
Given the massive media attention and debate about "Alan Bersin" recently, I can understand his mistake.
For more on this weird controversy, tune into my next show, titled, as always, "Yet Another Two Hours of Talk Radio All About Alan Bersin".

I'm not satisfied, yet.
So, let's see. First things first: I saw you on Countdown last night, Rachel, and, as is customary for me whenever you appear, I watched again, later. The "new" jacket is swell, and I felt so, well, happy for a few more moments being a lesbian trapped in a man's body. Is your mom single?
I did email Elder Orrin after hearing your story (Have you noticed Moron missionaries all have the same first name? I wonder if he still has his missionarying name tag?).
But, I'm not yet satisfied with his response and want a clearer explanation; actually, I want some rather specific disclosures and apologies. I wonder if on-line hearings (under oath of course) might be a useful next step and opportunity for further experimenting using the internet to move us toward a more direct democracy? Any thoughts about how I/we can lead the self-righteous Senator to put his face closer to "in it"?
Thanks for helping me pay attention to details I'd no doubt otherwise miss.
