super duper tuesday post mortem

I listen by podcast so I'm a week behind.  However, if the topic sometime today is the election (and why wouldn't it be), I was wondering if any one had noticed that Barack carried all the states with caucuses by large margins, while generally any state he won by primary, was pretty close (a wash as far as delegates goes).  Ga. of course was an exception.  Any speculation as to why this would be?  It might be interesting to note how many more states delegates are decided by caucus.
