This is the dawning!

"harmony and understanding
sympathy and trust abounding
no more falsehoods or derisions
golden living dreams of visions
mystic crystals revelations
and the minds true liberation"

A new day- moving forward.

It is a great day that Air America is moving forward thanks in great part to the Green family and the multitude of listener/members. It is even sweeter that the transaction occurred the day that the Libby FELONY conviction for lying was revealed. It is a new day- tell a friend/co-worker/neighbor- if not XM, sign up and podcast- it is truth radio- Air America is for all!!

thank the lord

thank you thank you thank you ---we're out here supporting the best we can!

Thank you to the Green family!!!

Dear Mark Green,

We voted for you for mayor. You are a true people's person. Thank you for Air America!

We have listened to Air America since the very beginning, day 1, trying to receive Al Franken on our AM radio.

We discovered Randi Rhodes that week. We are devoted.

We purchased first, Sirius to get Air America, then XM Radio. We are also premium subscribers.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!

Sincerely,

Carol and JP Beledo and family

Yes.. thank you, now,,,

...GET TO WORK FIXING this wonderful, shining beacon of sanity for our country called Air America Radio so that it is never again in danger of being extingished!

Seriously.. I have listened to AAR literally since day one via the internet, either streaming or podcasting. (NH where I live does not have a radio station that carries AAR.) I heard Al on that first day, and have followed the ups and downs of every show come and gone since.. Cheered the promotion of the brilliant Rachel Maddow. Been amazed at Sam Seder's deft handling of rwingers who call his show. Ranted along with Randi.. Loved and miss many who have left for reasons known and unknown. and yes, I railed against the firing of Mike Malloy.

I am a middle aged lefty who might have lost her mind if not for the voices of AAR.. but instead of losing my mind, AAR helped to inspire me to action. Inspired by AAR's call to fight back against the neocons, I joined my local democratic committee and worked to turn NH BLUE as could be.. including working to get Carol Shea-Porter elected to Congress!

Please, please, please make this work.

oh, and I have a recommendation for you.. being that you want to host the first Republican debate in NH, you might really try to get a station to broadcast AAR in NH!! IN fact.. being that NH is still going to figure in BIG in the upcoming election (even if there are issues with the NH primary being first in the nation), if AAR really wants to influence national politics.. getting the true liberal voice heard ON THE AIR in this state ASAP would, in my opinion, be a really good idea.

Good luck AAR 2.0

Right now I suppose we're in AAR 2.0 Beta. This is exciting. If the potential of the Air America brand and notoriety can finally be leveraged into a viable radio programming entity, this will do a major service to the progressive movement and the overall survival on this planet.

I would hope that a major effort will go into creating a following for the network, or whatever it is now, that can be advantageous to finding advertisers who won't chicken out if someone says something radical. I am always reminded of the alternative rock format, which drew on, and often created, a subculture capable of sustaining it without having to justify its existence to large, timid corporations or conservative local business types.

In addition, I hope that voices from the far left will still have a place on Air America. It's easy to say that they already have Pacifica Radio, but Pacifica as we know has only five stations (plus dozens of affiliates carrying Democracy Now!). Also, as New Yorkers, I don't have to remind you how dismal the factional struggles can get there. It drives a lot of good people away.

The only other thing to remember is that there is a dedicated and well funded right wing echo machine that will try to destroy your reputations by every underhanded trick in the book. As one of your employees, Rachel Maddow, used to say - VIGILANCE!

Now let's kick some butt and make some awesome radio!

This is AWESOME! Program changes?

You must keep Randi Rhodes which I am sure you will- she is the best, most honest and straight forward voice that we have in America today! We have already lost so many avenues of information, we cannot afford to lose her. We would all be in the dark.

If you are looking for a new fresh show, I must recommend Charles Goyette working at KFNX in Phoenix Arizona. He used to do the local morning show for Air America when you were on another channel that was bought out by a Christian broadcasting company. Charles is very talented to say the least and extremely honest. If you are looking for someone, he is your man.

AAR 2.0 ideas

If you want comments on how to make AAR better for the listeners, I have a few ideas.

1. Make sure that the stream is constant, I can only listen via the interent and using today as an example, I was unable to listen for over 4 hours. I kept getting this stream is unavailable. YOu should allow stand alone players to be used and not just imbeded ones.

2. Bring Mike Malloy back, get rid of Randi Rhodes. Mike is good and Randi has become to arrogant. I have called her show 12 times in the last 2.5 weeks and have been refused every time. Mike never refused my call. Randi talks about how great she is. Mike never does that.

3. Bring Marc Maron back, team him up with Sam Seder.

4. Bring the other half of Majority Report back with her own show.

5. Do away with the premium stuff, allow open access.

6. Have brand new programming on the weekends not just a avery few shows. Many of us hate reruns on the weekends.

7. Create a way for the average listener to contact the Presidents office at AAR and then respond to those comments.

Thanks

Or how about responding to at least our help tickets? (see my comment below) Is anyone working at Air Amereica right now?

YAY!

Thank you for saving AAR!

Mark Green you have discovered your true destiny-- you will do so much more with this venture than you ever could being a public official in NYC. I applaud the vigor you and your brother bring to keeping the progressive message alive and thriving.

Thanks again!

p.s. Please bring Malloy back.

it's a great day indeed!

Mr. Green,

Thank you

Thank you for saving Air America!

Please bring back Mike Malloy and Marc Maron. Where's Janeane Garafolo? They're all greatly missed.

I listen to AAR every day on the web and I know that without it's influence to bring us all together, we would be facing dark(er) days.

Thank You!

Thank you Green Family - you are very much appreciated. I live in Upstate NY (Warren County) and its very red here. I listen to AAR on XM except during lunch and then I stream to hear the brillant Thom Hartmann. We need to get AAR on a local AM radio station and there are a few here. Best of Luck - we need you as much as you need us.

Congratulations!

I've been listening since moment one, when those great songs of peace, democracy and liberty joyfully entered my home. I knew you were going to be great, and you are!

My all time favorite? Rachel. (We are on a first name basis now...) Rachel Maddow is brilliant, hillarious and correct, one hundred percent of the time!

Thank you, Green brothers, for your committment to this amazing radio station, and to your committment to free speech in our great country.

Susan Sirignano

stability at last?

No more pussy footing around Batman! Lets kick some Rape ublican'ts butt! bring back Mike Malloy and Marc Maron!

P.S.

I love Janeane Garofalo! Find a placed for her. you people don't realize what gold you have in Randi! Thom is the most informed but can bring me down with the overwhelming truth of GW and the Bush Crime Family! Al could and did bring some levity to a grim situation. Also consider the listeners that podcast these shows. I listen to every show on pod because the signal in Chi town is so unpredictable and not all of AAR lineup is carried. Miss You much Al! Good Luck Senator Franken!

Maybe Someone Could RESPOND to Me Now?!

My air america premium just stopped 2 1/2 weeks ago. I thought maybe it was a bug. I waited a day or two and it still said I'm not subscribed. Now it is possible my year subscription ran out, but I didn't get any notivficiation either by mail or from the website. I went to my accounts page and there was no information but "you are not a premium subscriber." No past billing history, no subscription info, not when I subscribed or when I was scheduled to expire. No info on renewing my subscription. Just "you are not a premium subscriber." Now I would just renew my subscrip[tion but if it was a bug I didn't want it to kick in again and then I start getting double billed or something. So I looked for a way to contact them. But unlike almost every other commercial site, there is no contact link on the main page. As a matter of fact there are no links on the main page except FAQ and ACCOUNT. I already mentioned the only info at ACCOUNT so I went to FAQ and at the very bottom it says do you have more questions, I clciked on that and then I had to sign in AGAIN, and I get an email address and a help ticket form. SO I explain all this and put in the help ticket. A day later no one has responded and I try and view my ticket but I can't find it so I put another ticket in. THe next day no one has responded so I finally find in the small print the link to all my previous tickets. I edit a ticket and ask if they plan on responding to me. The next day i write the email address and I get an outomated response and it is blank. So now I've moved to the regular AIr America site and I find a phone number, I leave a message explaining everything and still no one gets back to me, it is now over a week and a half since I first contacted them and no one has contacted me either by phone, by email, or by my ticket. At this pointI suggest that no one use Air America PRemium. I'm putting this everywhere I can think of so maybe someone who gives a damn at Air America might do something about it.It seems to me that AIr AMerica is purposely doing everything it can to make people stop listening. There is a reason Air America is failing, and it is not politics or liberalism, it's management.

Premium

In my case my debit card was accessed for the premium amount and that was the only notice I had that my account had expired and then had been renewed. Oh well, I'm just happy that AAR is out there and getting better.

Why can't we get on FM? I live in the Chicago area and the AM station here is iffy.

I really believe that together we're out to save the world AAR. Thank you, thank you, thank you.

Good to know, but please come back to Dallas!

I have desperately missed AAR the last few months. Our KXEB-AM 910 used to be the AAR carrier, but just before Election day, they changed format to religious programming. I choose not to think there is a conspiracy there.
Please find another frequency in Dallas, and here is a suggestion: Ed Schultz in the afternoon. I had heard that there was some kind of friction or disagreement between him and Randi Rhodes, but never heard any details. No matter, Ed Schultz is a good choice. I used to like Randi a lot better, but before we lost our AAR in Dallas, she started sounding really mean and arrogant. Perhaps it was pre-election excitement on her part, but it was unpleasant to listen to. And I got sick of that stupid "bounce your boobies!" song she used to play on Fridays. Ed Schultz knows when to breathe fire, and when to calm down and go with the flow. He is also humorous without resorting to profanity. just give it some thought will you?---Michael

Kudos and Key Suggestions......

Great.
Go Greens!

For all that is to be praised for noble efforts past and all you intend to to, please consider adding this to qualified feedback:

Please get your web-dev team on a re-design of this totally cluttered, dated, clumsy layout. You want to be a channel for progressive politics, to send a clear and attractive message in a totally credible manner? Then you will have to re-org this site to not make a "Premium" customer like me (and the previous commenter was right: get RID of this "premium" nonsense) not have to sift through 30 Google adds and crummy disorganized tabs.

The content, once one finds it, is great but the interface to GET to it is just cheezy, low-brow and not in keeping with the higher values of the message/mission here.

And make your IT gang MAKE the media flow: one of your key demographics, technically speaking, are Mac users and or FFox users (as more and more people are nowadays) and none of your "Listen Now!" links load directly, easily (unlike NPR, BBC, etc.) for us. Yes, yes the pod casting is clean but then, i just subscribe and ever return to your site here. You don't want to loose me/us as people coming back to your site!

Thanks for knowing how to value constructive feedback. I'd be happy to beta test and give more feedback if that's helpful.

Cheers and keep up the good work!
-david gaian

PS: Ring of Fire SHINES!

Corporate Green

Anytime a corporation or rich family buys something, it changes. It won't be long before Air America reaches the suck factor. I'll sit, wait, and watch, then laugh.
