Congratulations to the Women of America!
Congratulations, women of
You could be led in to a shining future by a woman with relatively little political experience, personal and political values that stand in stark contrast to basic women’s rights, and who is currently the subject of an investigation in the (foreign and exotic) state of Alaska!
It’s a great day for women across our wonderfully progressive nation.
I’ll be in the corner inhaling aerosol hairspray if you need me.
By the way, and this is a very nerdy reference, but has anyone ever read the graphic novel SCOUT by Timothy Truman? There’s a character in there that just might get you thinking…

Hillary Harridans Hoodwinked?
I can hear the screeching breaks of the Hillary Harridans as they suddenly re-think voting for Obama.
This issue is all psychological, not issues based. As calamitous as it would be, the Hillary Harridans may not view a vote for McCain as self-defeating or generally irrational.
Re-check the demographic breakdown of the polls in a week.
I don't like it, but the Hillary Harridans are eager to be Hoodwinked.

True hope says that women of America won't be hoodwinked into voting for a candidate who doesn't measure up *especially* because she happens to be a woman.
We need female leaders who are *capable* by virtue of their experience to aid in breaking the glass ceilings across our country - this is the only way to reach true equality.
McCain's running mate is not the leader we need and she is not the woman that we need.

By noisegirlAugust 29, 2008 - 3:22pmcongrats to the bitter Hillary supporters.
Very shrewd on the part of McCain's advisers.
they're trying to take votes away from Obama by pandering to the disgruntled Hillary supporters by having a woman on the ticket.
as much as I hate to admit it, this is a smart move by McCain to exploit the division within the democratic party.
a special thank you to the sign waving protesters in the democratic party who refuse to vote for Obama because they want Hillary.
you really showed McCain what strategy to use to win.
These people only voted for Hillary because they want a woman.
Their refusal to vote for Obama when he is almost the same on the issues proves that, it is they who are the sexists.
and McCain just might win because of these stubborn selfish people who put their own wants and desires to see a woman in power over what is best for the country.
McCain has got some smart people working for him.
Its the old "divide and conquer" play.
The ads where they tell these women to Vote McCain because the democratic party betrayed them, threw them over the side, etc...
These ads are already being made.
I hope this doesnt make us lose, but Im afraid it will.
because as we all know people are stupid.

By R-A-WAugust 29, 2008 - 4:53pmfeminism is dead
Feminism is truly dead if a pro-life woman from Alaska is considered a feminist. No respectable feminist would ever dream of taking a choice away from another woman.
Please, save me from slipping into a state of insanity and call this what it is: Typically mysogenistic, typically Republican. Nothing more, nothing less.

with Sarah Palin.
Pro-life...no one should dictate to a woman what to do with her body.
I'm disappointed.
