OBLIGATORY CAMPAIGN UPDATES…WHY? I HAVE NO IDEA

1.     ECONOMIC SURGE– McCAIN (:07)

Senator John McCain has fully developed his campaign strategy.  Take the word, “surge” and apply it everywhere.

2.     I’M NOT A HISTORIAN SO I CAN’T CITE YOU EXAMPLES– ROMNEY (:07)

NOTE TO SURROGATES: Please, when someone asks you to be interviewed, do yourself a favor, and read up on your candidate. Meathead Mitt Romney was interviewed by Wolf Blitzer on CNN to discuss McCain’s energy plan and record.  Blitzer asks Romney a fairly simple question, name one accomplishment McCain has done in his 20 plus years in the Senate for our nation’s energy situation.  Unfortunately, Romney never bothered to bone up on McCain’s Senate accomplishments.  The following is how you DO NOT answer that question.

3.     JUST ASK MY INTERN!– GINGRICH (:07)

Newt Gingrich was interviewed on Fox and Friends and was asked by Brian Kilmeade “if we drill offshore; when could we expect to see its benefits?”  Now, here is some more advice: offshore drilling and America’s energy crisis has been quite the focal point of the presidential campaign right now.  When discussing such, it is helpful to have experts back up your talking points.  WELL…not so if you’re Newt Gingrich.  He decides to cite an intern from the American Enterprise Institute as his expert to drill offshore.  Not helpful for your cause Newt!

CRUEL TO SUSKIND…

4.     HUSH MONEY– SUSKIND (1:00)

Ron Suskind was on Countdown last night and said that according to former CIA agent Rob Maguire, when facts emerged that the Bush administration either lied or manipulated intelligence to convince the country to go to war with Iraq, the administration had to pay Habush $5 million to keep quiet and stay out of sight.  And you just sit there…

TV HATES TRADITIONAL MARRIAGE

5.     THERE WAS A BOY WITH TWO GIRLS IN BED– HENSON (:20)

Melissa Henson, spokesperson for Parent Television Council, released their study in which they think prime-time TV “seems to be actively seeking to undermine marriage by consistently painting it in a negative light.”  Wow.
