Part Two:

Palin's Prophetic Declaration

"Pray for our military men and women who are striving to do what is right. Also, for this country, that our leaders, our national leaders, are sending [U.S. soldiers] out on a task that is from God," she exhorted the congregants. "That's what we have to make sure that we're praying for, that there is a plan and that that plan is God's plan."

Palin's Energy Policy? Pray.

Just prior to discussing Iraq, Alaska's governor asked the audience to pray for another matter -- a $30 billion national gas pipeline project that she wanted built in the state. "I think God's will has to be done in unifying people and companies to get that gas line built, so pray for that," she said.H/t: Chris

Beware of idolaters.

I guess that makes it pretty clear that her god is the Almighty Dollar.

"Every gun that is made, every warship launched, every rocket fired signifies in the final sense, a theft from those who hunger and are not fed, those who are cold and are not clothed." Dwight Eisenhower

Palin, the goddess of the extremists

Isn't it ironic how we view other nations that fight wars and push agendas based on the wants of THEIR god. Yet in this country, the Republican party...the party who has pushed fear of religious extremists...proudly parades their extremist and her rhetoric. This party is no different and no less dangerous than extremists in other countries.

i concur

/signed. extremism / fundamentalism from Christians is equally dangerous and more pervasive in comparison to all other types.

Iraqi Christians decimated

.
All this religious stuff is a huge part of what is screwing things up. When leaders say to determined believers in the occult, it's part of God's plan or it's Gods will, people will follow along. They just assume, no one is going to "use" God (See "Bush"). The threat of "retribution" from an imaginary "supernatural" being is just too scary.

In Iraq, they put Islam into their constitution and since 2004, they have killed or chased away more than half of their estimated 1.4 MILLION Christians. Saddam wanted these people in his government because they were some of the most educated in the country.

Now, with the support of the US government and leaders, like John McCain, the population is less than half of what it was. If the US doesn't step in and "save" these people, not one will. Not even "God". I suspect the American Christians don't give a shit for the Iraqi Christians. For one, they have no oil. For two, American Christians are desperately wanting to be friends with Iraqi Muslims, why, because they have oil. So who cares about a few hundred thousand, or even a million AND a few hundred thousand Christians. For McCain, he will be glad the "problem" has finally "gone away". It may sound harsh, but I believe this is part of McCain's "surge".

My goddess says I must pray at sunset

And I must face into the wind.

But she doesn't get mad if I forget.
