Newsflash! Breaking! Stop the presses! A vice presidential candidate is going to... speak to the press!
UPDATE.: CNN Correspondent Dana Bash has confirmed additional details about the upcoming interview: According to a McCain aide, the plan is for Gibson to have time with Palin over two days — Thursday and Friday of this coming week. The interview will be part sit-down, part walk-and-talk at various locations in Alaska.Awww, it's like one of those Barbara Walters interviews with Julia Roberts. A pleasant stroll among trees and rivers, laughing, frolicking, reminiscing about AIP days gone by, sharing barbed quips, Sarah Lou teaching Charlie how to shoot a moose, playing What Shade of Lipstick Am I Wearing games, gazing deeply into each other's eyes...

Remember when Joe Biden did that? You don't? There was a good reason. He was professional and had enough common sense, experience, and confidence to appear on Meet the Press without having to be prepped and coddled first.

Stay tuned for more breaking news: Sarah Louise Palin answeres real questions!

News media bends over for McCain

Notice the republican control of the media? They bend over for McCain and wonder why their viewership is declining.

Sorry about the typo

I just noticed "answeres"... fixing that on the TPC site. Eeks.

I posted an interesting read on another thread

oops!

No prob.

Now that I see how things disappear around here. : )

For Franken in Minnesota

I read that the race is tight but that there is around 11% polling for the independence candidate or some such third party. Those people lean toward Franken when polled about just the two leading candidates. So if some of them defect to Franken then he should be in good shape.

So Much For the...ahem...Obama "Bounce"...(Snicker...LOL)

Gallup:

Gallup Daily: McCain Moves Ahead, 48% to 45% McCain enjoying increase in support following convention

Rasmussen:

Daily Presidential Tracking Poll, Sunday, September 07, 2008

The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Sunday, September 7, shows the race for the White House is tied.

In the first national polling results based entirely on interviews conducted after Sarah Palin’s acceptance speech, Barack Obama gets 46% of the vote and so does John McCain. When "leaners" are included, it’s all even at 48%.

Thanks fraud.

Psst

Electoral College
RCP Electoral Count: Obama 238, McCain 174, Toss Ups 126
No Toss Up States: Obama 273, McCain 265

Obama's still ahead, and he's going to stay there.

Sorry, sophist...you lose again.

McCain/Palin '08: the also-rans.

So now we are seeing more states are in play

The old strategy of hunkering down in blue state strongholds was piss poor.

Now McCain has to spend money in more states.

God Bless Media Matters

For hours, Fox News reported GOP claims about American flags -- which Cameron called "the Stars and Bars" -- before providing Dem response

Summary: On September 6, Fox News' America's Election HQ aired numerous reports documenting claims by Republicans and the McCain campaign that they "rescued" American flags that were going to be "disposed of" by the Democrats after their convention at Invesco Field. But during the reports, Fox News gave no indication that it had sought to contact a Democratic Party official or Obama campaign spokesperson for comment, and only reported a Democratic response hours after it began reporting the Republican claims.

Reminds me of

the rumor that all the "Ws" were removed from the White House computers in 2001. Totally fictional story.
