Alaska Governor is McCain's VP Choice

Alaska first-term Gov. Sarah Palin has been tapped to be Sen. John McCain's running mate on the Republican ticket, a campaign source said Friday.

A senior member of McCain's campaign confirmed the choice of Palin, 44, CNN reported. Fox News cited a campaign source with the same confirmation.

CNN said it was tipped to the choice when it learned a private plane from Anchorage, Alaska, landed about 25 miles from Dayton, Ohio, site of where McCain was to announce his vice presidential choice Friday.

"The fact that she is not a Washingtonian, that she is outside the beltway ... is in her favor," U.S. Sen. Kay Bailey Hutchison, R-Texas, told CNN. "I think it's a breath of fresh air.

Palin, 44, was elected governor in 2006.

Hutchison was under consideration early on as a running mate for McCain. Also on the short list were Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

Dirty old man McCain apparently thinks he can pick a trophy vice president, just like he married his trophy wife. Only this time, he appears to want an upgrade over his current wife whom he has publically called "cunt" and derided as "putting on her makeup with a trowel". This from an ugly, shrivelled prune like McCain who clearly has the mark of the beast under that giant welt on his face.

The idea that women, or men for that matter, will admire his choice of an airhead for the #2 spot on his ticket shows what utter contempt and disrespect he has for women.

I think his choice will be a disaster for the campaign and will backfire big time. I guess time will tell as to whether this cynical ploy will really fool women sacrificing their reproductive freedom. I have more faith in women in America than that.

Why Pick Palin For VP?

Is there any connection between the selection of Palin as Republican President nominee, her recent granting of a license to Transcanada to build a natural gas pipeline in Alaska, and Transcanada¹s relationship with Tenaris, who laid pipeline in the Camisea project (linked with Hunt Oil and George Bush in 2004)? Seems she has taken avery special interest...one that has paid off!

Just because you think that Mr. Obamas speech was so impressive, Hell, JFKs was 10 times more real. But if you think that you need even bigger government, move. If you think that Employers take such an advantage of workers, go to China and see how much they will let you speek. I am proud to be an American with the freedom of speech. You failed yourself. You can't blame others if you didn't study and didn't do your homework. And according to your own accounts, the first eight years of your schooling were in private schools, where you should have learned to read, right and spell. The next four were in a public high school, where you did nothing because you thought you were so superior, and took non-academic, track-C classes.

I never said I was a highly educated man. Yes it is my problem that as you say, I failed me. But I am smart enough to know when some one is telling the truth. And if you get all your news from the New york Times, that explans alot. When they report that it was a leader but not the poeple of a socialist counrtry. Does'nt it make you think. When the BBC reported what the average Europeans thought about it, That;s what I was talking about. And as for the private school, where did that come from. It was a Public (government) school. I also have a birth defect that makes it hard for me to speek. Befor ADD or ADHD was found out, and I was good at sports, they just past me on untill I got hurt but by then it was to late. I did go back to school to learn a trade, but when I got laid off, I went back to learn another on my own. No help from anyone. Yes it is my personal resonsibility to work hard. To make a better life for my family.

Because I may have a different view as others, I am caleed a contard. Or Mr. blogbob refering to Mr. McCain as Gramps or Mr. RednectLeftist calling what you call Faux News, I am guessing you realy mean Fox News, retards because he thinks that all the news of that day should all be about Mr. Obama and nothing eles matters. I'm somewhat dyslexic; I overcompensate by double-checking my spelling and my math. But, hey, I went to government schools. What do you expect--that I actually learned something? That I would actually be able to spell? Dang it, not only do I spell well, but I have a major in English! Go figure.
